UNHCR has received reports that a man who goes by Osman or Bo Bo Selai continues to request money for UNHCR services. This is a scam. UNHCR has previously warned about him Beware of Scams: A Man Going by Names of Osman, Michael or Bo Bo Selai | Refugee Malaysia.
If you receive a call or message from any of these numbers, do not reply, and immediately ignore and delete the message and block the phone number.
Please remember:
- UNHCR will never ask you for money.
- No one can obtain UNHCR documents, facilitate access to UNHCR processes, or fast‑track your case in exchange for payment.
- Do not pay money to anyone offering such services.
- Do not share your personal information with individuals claiming they can influence your UNHCR case.
