UNHCR Malaysia does not have a TikTok account. All TikTok accounts claiming to be from UNHCR are fake.
We have been made aware of a fraudulent TikTok account @unhcr.refugeemalaysia, which is falsely claiming to represent UNHCR Malaysia. This account is not affiliated with UNHCR in any way and has been misleading the public by sharing photos from refugee communities, UNHCR staff, and NGO partners to create a false representation of UNHCR.
These accounts are all fake. The individual(s) behind these accounts have no connection to UNHCR and are not authorized to assist with registration, Refugee Status Determination (RSD), or resettlement processes. Please do not share your personal information or make any payments to them.

- Be cautious of anyone claiming they can help you with resettlement or other UNHCR processes in exchange for money or services.

Reporting suspicious activity will not affect your case. Your UNHCR document will not be cancelled, and your case will not be delayed or closed for reporting fraud.
