Please be informed that under Phase 1 of the National Recovery Plan, effective 01 July 2021, all Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara (JPN) / National Registration Department (NRD) counter services are available on an appointment basis only. Any business without proof of appointment or on walk-in basis is not allowed.
Refugees and asylum-seekers who wish to register the birth of their children from JPN will have to make an appointment. For appointment dates, please visit MyJanjiTemu.
Please note that in certain locations such as Klang Valley, JPN appointment dates are fully booked several weeks in advance so please plan accordingly. You may book a birth registration appointment as early as 2 months before your child is due to be born.
For further information on birth registration with JPN Malaysia including the forms and documentation needed, please visit the Registering Your Child support page on the Refugee Malaysia website.
